SkyShow 2025 – Baseball + Fireworks

When: Thursday, July 3, 2025, game at 6:05 p.m., followed by fireworks
Where: Truist Field  with free viewing available at Romare Bearden Park
Cost: Game ticket (various prices); fireworks viewing is complimentary
What to Expect: Catch a Knights game — and enjoy a spectacular fireworks finale!
 

Whitewater Center’s Fourth of July Celebration

When: Wednesday, July 3, 6–10 p.m. & Thursday, July 4, 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
Where: U.S. National Whitewater Center
Cost: Free entry; $12 parking
What to Expect: The festivities include live music, a trail race, yoga classes, and much more. (fireworks not included)
 

Town of Matthews Independence Day

When: Thursday, July 3, celebration at 5–8:30 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Where: Stumptown Park & Matthews SportsPlex
Cost: Free
What to Expect: Enjoy a concert celebration at Stumptown Park, followed by a fireworks show
 

Charlotte Museum of History Celebration

When: Friday, July 4, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: Charlotte Museum of History (3500 Shamrock Drive)
Cost: Free (reserve ahead)
What to Expect: A celebratory oath and naturalization event for new U.S. citizens, featuring music and other festivities
 

Charlotte Symphony: “Celebrate America!”

When: Sunday, June 29, 5–9:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9 p.m.
Where: Symphony Park (4400 Sharon Road)
Cost: $18-$25 adults; youth $5–$7; children under 13 free (ticket required)
What to Expect: Enjoy an evening of patriotic orchestral classics followed by a memorable fireworks show
 

Birkdale Village 4th of July Celebration

When: Friday, July  4, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: Birkdale Village, Huntersville (8712 Lindholm Street)
Cost: Free
What to Expect: Festivities include bike decorating, bike parade, block party, and the Huntersville Fire Department’s annual wet down
 

Carowinds Star-Spangled Nights

When: Friday, July  4 & Saturday, July 5, fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Where: Carowinds (14523 Carowinds Blvd)
Cost: Park admission varies
What to Expect: Theme park thrills combined with evening fireworks shows
